Process

HousesThe development review process governs all development projects, including but not limited to; subdivisions, site plans and other planning processes.

Pre-Application Meetings

The Planning Department requests that applicants schedule a pre-application meeting to review the development process and answer any questions the applicant may have prior to submitting any development projects. A sketch plan of the proposed development should be brought to the meeting for staff to review.

Application Requirements

All applications are to be submitted to and checks payable to the Town of La Plata.

Annexation Petitions, Zoning Amendments, Text Amendments, and Special Exception applications are to be submitted to the Town Clerk for initial review for completion.

Development review applications for subdivisions, site plans, forest conservation, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control and public infrastructure are to be submitted to the Planning Department.
